King Country, 93.3 was launched by Tyler Media in February of 1998 as Oklahoma City's first ever classic country station. Long time Oklahoma City radio veterans Lynn Waggoner, Joe McIntosh, James Ayers and Olen Wells were hired to fill out the air staff. Combining classic country, news and information and Oklahoma City's best on-air personalities, KKNG quickly became Oklahoma City's #1 country station. In fact, KKNG has been the country ratings leader in Oklahoma City for the last four years.
